Exploris Grade 8
This week we continued our novel study of Fever, learned about the Declaration of Independence, and kicked off our Design for Change projects around a water issue.
Team Reminders:
Outward Bound Update: We have confirmed Outward Bound dates for the week of April 18 – 22, 2022! We are working on scheduling a parent night with them for you to ask questions. Total cost is $900. Top priority right now is payments or a scholarship application – (pay online here) or Scholarship Application A total of $600 is due Friday, November 19. You should have received an update on your payments and balance due soon!
Christmas Parade Fundraiser — The Raleigh Christmas Parade is Saturday, November 20. The route goes in front of Exploris, so in years past we’ve had families sell donuts and hot chocolate as a fundraiser towards Outward Bound. We would like to do that again this year, with the added idea of having a table of other crafts or cookies individuals would like to sell. Jill Lamb is heading this up, so please reach out to her if you’re interested in helping to coordinate this effort! jillmlamb3@gmail.com
